
In 1967, Frieder and Brigitte Nething start their architecture firm in Ulm. After their first successes, they look to Bavaria for expansion. They start operations there by setting up a branch in Günzburg in 1972, headed by the architect Dieter Winkler. Both branches together total 13 employees. At this time, they begin their first steps towards constructing buildings without interfaces. In 1979, they are already planning far beyond mere architectural services.
